PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detouring route capable of reaching a destination surely earlier than an original route, in a navigation device. SOLUTION: Present traffic information, statistical traffic information and predicted traffic information are held in each corresponding traffic information data part 30-32, and each error based on an acquisition form of each traffic information is held respectively in each corresponding traffic information accuracy data part 33-35, and each necessary time required for passing a detouring route candidate and the original route is operated by using the traffic information and the error of the traffic information by a route operation part 37. A route guide part 14 compares a required time for the detouring route candidate with a required time for the original route, and presents the detouring route candidate on a display as the detouring route, only when the required time for the detouring route candidate is shorter than the required time for the original route. Since the required time is calculated in consideration of the error of the traffic information, the effectiveness and reliability of detouring route guide are improved.
