PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating liquid film forming method which can prevent deterioration of landing accuracy of discharged droplet due to air flow accompanying the movement of a support body, and prevent staining of a head surface in the vicinity of an ink jet head, and the support body due to coating liquid mists to form a coating liquid film with a uniform thickness and even coating. SOLUTION: The coating liquid film forming method comprises the process of reducing pressure on the upstream side of the support body of the ink jet head in the movement direction by using a pressure reducing means. Vapor containing at least one of solvents contained in coating liquid is supplied to the downstream side of the support body of the ink jet head in the movement direction by using a vapor supplying means.
