PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the frequent execution of error processing, and to prevent a motor from being stopped when a driven body is in an improper state. SOLUTION: (a) This motor control device is a sensor which outputs a rectangular wave-shaped signal. The sensor outputs a first signal when the driven body which is driven by a motor and shifted to a first state, and further shifted to a second state by being driven by the motor after being released from the first state is in the first state, outputs a second signal when the driven body is in a state of being released from the first state, and in a state before being shifted to the second state, and outputs a third signal when the driven body is in the second state. (b) The motor which has shifted the driven body to the first state is stopped within a period of time when the sensor outputs the first signal, and executes the state determination of the driven body for a prescribed period of time after conducting control for stopping the motor on the basis of an output of the sensor.
