PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-mounted display device that allows a liquid-crystal element to be driven fully, even if it is used in a low-temperature environment. SOLUTION: In a low-temperature environment, a display state is not clear since liquid crystal in a liquid-crystal element 13 is not sufficiently driven. However, since the heat generated in a light source 11 and a drive circuit 14 is guided to such a liquid-crystal element 13 with a heat transfer member 16, so as to warm the liquid-crystal element 13 consequently, it is possible to provide a clear display state to a worker, even if the worker wearing the head-mounted display device executes work in a low-temperature environment.
