PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dimmer allowing a mark for positioning an operation part at a desired operation position to be easily made, and allowing the position of the mark to be easily changed. SOLUTION: This dimmer 1 is provided with: a vessel body 10 where the operation part 12 having a continuously changing operation position is arranged on the front side, and a dimming control circuit part executing dimming control of a light source in response to the operation position of the operation part 12 is housed inside; a mounting part 40 housed in a housing recessed part 11d formed on the front surface of the vessel body 10, and formed of a magnet; an ornamental cover 20 mounted to the vessel body 10 in a form covering the whole surface on the front side of the vessel body 10, and having an arrangement part 50 formed at a position overlapping with the mounting part 40 in the front-rear direction; and indication pieces 30 each formed of a magnetic material attracted to the mounting part 40, mounted to the arrangement part 50 of the ornamental cover 20, and used for the mark of the operation position of the operation part 12.
