PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve image display astonishing the player and the like. SOLUTION: An image display unit A includes a liquid crystal display device 10 and a half mirror 20 for reflecting the images projected from the liquid crystal display device 10. The liquid crystal display device 10 is moved between a first position in which the liquid crystal display device 10 is the display face of the image display unit A and a second position in which the liquid crystal display device 10 projects images to the half mirror 20 and the half mirror 20 is the display face of the image display unit A. This configuration enables selective provision of two-dimensional images and three-dimensional images. In addition, by illuminating the back of the half mirror 20 with an illuminating unit 60, virtual images are shown clearly and vividly. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
