Disclosed is a selectively permeable material which is obtained by dispersing a solid additive into a polymer having an organosiloxane structure. When oxygen and nitrogen are caused to permeate a membrane which is made of the selectively permeable material, the relation between the permeability coefficients (cm<SUP>3</SUP> cm sec<SUP>-1</SUP> cm<SUP>-2</SUP> cmHg<SUP>-1</SUP>) of oxygen and nitrogen at 23 ± 2°C at a transmembrane pressure difference of 0.15-1.20 atm is represented by the formula (1) below. In the formula below, P(O<SUB>2</SUB>) represents the permeability coefficient of oxygen and P(N<SUB>2</SUB>) represents the permeability coefficient of nitrogen. (1)
