The braking device has a turning member with a bearing surface (117a, 117b) and a friction element (111a,111b) with a friction surface (116a,116b) brought in contact with bearing surface for breaking a rotary motion of the turning member (110) that has a sealing agent (121a,121b) to partially limit a space between the friction surface and bearing surface. The brake device has sealing agent of natural or plastics, particularly varnish, waxes, permanent elastic or permanent plastic sealing agent e.g. polyethylene, polypropylene, polytetrafluoroethylene, silicon and natural rubber basis. An independent claim is also included for a method for braking device for the belt system.
