A method for preparing a semiconductive silicone rubber member for an electrophotographic apparatus, a semiconductive silicone rubber member prepared by the method, and an electrophotographic roll or belt containing the rubber member are provided to reduce the amount of low molecular weight siloxane components effectively. A method for preparing a semiconductive silicone rubber member for an electrophotographic apparatus comprises the steps of forming a silicone rubber composition comprising 100 parts by weight of an organopolysiloxane represented by R_n SiO_(4-n)/2, a conductive material and a curing agent into a layer by interposing or not interposing it as a middle layer on a substrate; curing it to obtain a cured product; and treating the cured product under a pressure of 5.0x10^4 Pa or less and at a temperature of 80-180 deg.C.
