A liquid crystal display is provided to reduce a manufacturing cost by eliminating a process for manufacturing a flexible printed circuit board again. A liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal display panel, a plurality of light emitting diodes(12), a flexible printed circuit board, and a light guide plate. The liquid crystal display panel displays an image and includes a drive integrated circuit chip. The light emitting diodes supplies light to the liquid crystal display panel. Both sided solder pads are attached to both sides of the light emitting diode. The light emitting diodes are mounted to the flexible printed circuit board. The light guide plate guides the light emitting diodes to transmit the light to the liquid crystal display panel.
