Electrostatic spraying heads for spraying 2 or more different sprayalble substances simultaneously comprise inlet conduits 7, 8 for each substance a rotary spraying bell 11, 17 for each substance having its interior connected to the respective inlet conduit, the bells being coaxial and nesting within each other with air space between adjacent bells for mixing the substances, means for rotating the bells, a grid 35, 36 in each inlet conduit arranged for connection 6 to a high voltage source 5 and arranged to decelerate the flow of and cause turbulence in the substances, and means 26 for .passing compressed air through orifices 16 in the outer bell to the space between the bells. A fixed shroud 9 may be provided surrounding the outer bell, having holes 13 for the passage of air to drive the outer bell by vanes 12. The grids may be variable and/or replaceable, and they and adjacent parts 3, 4 of the conduits may be made of metal, while the remainder of the parts are made of insulating material.</p> |
