<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively add a weight consisting of material having the specific gravity heavier than the specific gravity of a head body in a position corresponding to the shortest distance of a shaft axis by interposing this weight between a hosel and shaft of a wood club having the head body and the hosel and shaft formed successively therewith. SOLUTION: The weight 8 made of a pipe-shaped tungsten alloy of, for example, 10 mm in outside diameter, 40 mm in cylindrical length and 30 g in weight is fixed by an adhesive to the inside surface of the cylindrical hosel 4 formed in the heel portion 3 of the head. The front end of the weight 8 is fixed to a cylindrical pedestal disposed on the inside surface of a sole. As a result, the club which is set with the short centroid distance from the centroid C.G. on the clubface 2 to the shaft axis, has the small inertia moment around the shaft and facilitates the swing control is obtained. The weight 8 is specified to a of at least 20 g, more preferably a range of 25 to 35 g.</p> |
