<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of scaling a motion vector of a co-located block of a reference picture. <P>SOLUTION: The method has a step of determining the motion vector of the co-located of the reference picture as a motion vector for obtaining a motion vector of bi-predictive picture; a step of obtaining a first time interval from the difference between a present picture and a first reference picture; a step of obtaining a second time interval from the difference between the first reference picture and a second reference picture; a step of scaling one motion vector in the co-located block of the reference picture on the basis of the first and second time intervals; and a step of obtaining a motion vector of the bi-predictive picture on the basis of the scaled motion vector of the co-located block. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
