<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a master cylinder suitable for combination with a braking/driving force control device, without elongation of an invalid stroke. <P>SOLUTION: To partition a hydraulic supply chamber 34 which is formed by a cylinder 11 and an outer circumferential surface of a piston 13 and communicating with a reservoir, with respect to a pressure chamber 17, an annular cup seal 46 held to an inner circumferential side of the cylinder 11 to be in slide-contact with an outer peripheral surface of the piston 13, is provided. A relief port 56 is formed to the piston 13 so that one side of the relief port 56 is opened to the outer circumferential surface of the piston 13 and the other side of thereof is normally opened to the pressure chamber 17 so as to connect the pressure chamber 17 to the hydraulic supply chamber 36. A control tapered surface 86 of which the diameter gets smaller toward its front side is formed behind an opening part 88 of the relief port 56 of the outer circumferential part of the piston 13, to be abutted with an inner peripheral part of the cup seal 46. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
