<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for recovering mercury efficiently and surely in a state of metal mercury most suitable for recycling in recovery from a waste fluorescent tube. <P>SOLUTION: The invention relates to a method for removing mercury included in the waste fluorescent tube. The method comprises at least the reduction thermal treatment step of treating the waste fluorescent tube in a pulverized state with reduction heat, the step of transferring the gas containing mercury obtained from the previous step under conditions at a temperature of the melting point or more of the metal mercury, and the cooling recovery step of cooling the gas containing mercury to recover the metal mercury. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
