PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a near-infrared absorption filter having high display quality that hardly generates interference fringes when being mounted on a plasma television set, while having high near-infrared shielding capability. SOLUTION: The near-infrared absorption filter 10 has a film-like support 12; a near-infrared absorption layer 14 formed on one face of the support 12 and containing a binder and a near-infrared absorption dyestuff; and an easy-to-adhere layer 16 formed on the other face of the support 12. When a refractive index of the support 12 for 550 nm of wavelength isη1 as the easy-to-adhere layer 16 and a refractive index of the easy-to-adhere layer 16 for 550 nm of wavelength isη2, the easy-to-adhere layer 16 satisfying ¾η1-η2¾≤0.03 is formed.
