<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a common salt composition preventing moisture absorption of common salt, without the need for adding oils and fats and cellulose powder, and to provide food products that contain the composition. <P>SOLUTION: This common salt composition is obtained by coating sucrose fatty acid ester, with an HLB value of 3 or smaller, on common salt.
