<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of an automatic opening/closing device of a vehicle by reducing the number of components, and to downsize the automatic opening/closing equipment. <P>SOLUTION: An electric motor is fixed to a case 25 for a drive unit 22. The speed of the running of the electric motor is reduced up to the predetermined number of revolutions by a speed reduction mechanism which is equipped with a worm and a worm wheel 35b, and transferred to a drive shaft 34, so as to rotatively drive a driving drum 41. A board storage chamber 46a is provided in the case 25, and a control board 47 for controlling the operation of the electric motor is housed in the board storage chamber 46a. A part of a board body 47a of the control board 47 is arranged between the driving drum 41 and the worm wheel 35b, and a rotary sensor 54 is mounted on the board body 47a in this part. A multipole magnet 53, which is rotated along with the drive shaft 34, is arranged between the worm wheel 35b and the driving drum 41.
