<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device forming a toner layer having less coarse/dense portions, and also, preventing image failures, and to provide an image forming apparatus using the developing device. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device 10 using magnetic one-component developer includes: a rotating sleeve 13 with a fixed magnet 15 included therein; and a toner layer thickness regulating member 16 for regulating the thickness of the toner layer formed on the rotating sleeve 13. The toner layer thickness regulating member 16 includes a blade 11 constituted of a magnetic sheet-like member, and a magnet 12 attached to the blade 11 so as to be positioned on the upstream side in the rotating direction B of the rotating sleeve 13. Moreover, the magnet 12 is disposed so that the direction of the magnetic field formed on the side of the rotating sleeve 13 of the magnet 12 may be nearly parallel to the rotating direction B of the rotating sleeve 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
