PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify cleaning of an air blower disposed in a floor type air conditioner and mounting/demounting of an air filter to improve rationality in maintenance work. SOLUTION: In this floor type air conditioner where the air blower and a heat exchanger are disposed in the longitudinal direction of a main body vertically long, the indoor air sucked by the air blower is passed through the heat exchanger to prepare the heat-exchanged conditioned air, and the conditioned air is supplied into a room, an upper front panel provided with a conditioned-air supply opening is mounted at an upper half side of a main body front face, and one of side ends of a lower front panel mounted at a lower half side of the main body front face provided with a suction opening for sucking the indoor air is rotatably pivoted to the main body, so that the lower front panel can be opened to a single side.
