PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human body detector which can perform setting of an optimal mask area. SOLUTION: The human body detector is equipped with; an imaging means 10; an image processing means 13 which extracts a moving region based on a picked-up image picked up by the imaging means 10; a mask setting means 17 which set a mask area which is not made an object of human body detection on a picked-up image; an image display means 31; and an input means 32 used for setting of the mask area. The mask setting means 17 has a display function which creates an image for mask setting which is prepared by superimposing the picked-up image, a frame for mask setting which displays the area for mask setting on the picked-up image, and a detection result in the image processing means 13 in prescribed time and outputs to the image display means 31, and a setting function which sets whether the area is made as a mask area or not by a plurality of areas according to an input content of the input means 32.
