<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting fixture which is reduced in thickness and size by using a flat-structured electric discharge lamp made by bending a light-emitting tube into a double-spiral shape. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting fixture includes the flat-structured double-spiral electric discharge lamp 1 made by bending the light-emitting tube 1a having mouthpieces on its both ends, and an elongated lighting unit 2 which has long sides 23, 24 and short sides 21, 22 and supplies power to the electric discharge lamp 1, the discharge lamp 1 and the lighting unit 2 being placed on the upper bottom face of a device body 10. The electric discharge lamp 1 and the lighting unit 2 are disposed on a plane including the flat shape of the light-emitting tube 1a in such a way that the electric discharge lamp 1 is opposite to the long side 23 of the lighting unit 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
