PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein a communication interface for data transfer is set regardless of the state of a system and a user's convenience.

SOLUTION: The transfer data transmitting side or receiving side electronic equipment side is equipped with a mating side interface information receiving function of receiving communication interfaces usable in mating side electronic equipment; a common interface detecting function of comparing the communication interfaces usable in the mating side electronic equipment, with communication interfaces usable in the own device, to detect the communication interfaces common to both the equipments; and a communication interface setting function of setting one of the communication interfaces common to both devices, as the communication interface of transfer data and informing the mating side electronic equipment.
