<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection needle, comprising a puncture part of such small diameter as not to give pain, damage, or feeling of fear or uneasiness to a patient, a base end part of such large diameter as to assure flow and strength, and a tapered part connecting them to each other, in which pain by the tapered part is eliminated, and puncture work can be favorably performed. <P>SOLUTION: The injection needle 1 is provided with the puncture part 2 provided with a needle puncturable to a living body, the base end part 3 having larger outer diameter and inner diameter than those of the puncture part 2, and the tapered part 4 connecting the puncture part 2 and the base end part 3 to each other. Penetration resistance of the tapered part 4 is smaller than penetration resistance of the puncture part 2.
