<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air intake duct device capable of reducing intake noise caused by rotation of an engine and maintaining the air intake efficiency over a wide rotation range of the engine. <P>SOLUTION: The air intake duct device is equipped with an air intake duct 13 which is connected at a proximal end to an air cleaner 12 of the engine 11 and is opened at a distal end to the atmosphere. The air intake duct 13 is provided with a sound absorbing member 15 defining a duct inner wall surface together with a duct body 14 for absorbing the intake noise. A holding member 16 is provided for opening and closing the sound absorbing member 15, for holding the sound absorbing member 15 and for adjusting the sound absorption function of the sound absorbing member 15.
