PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a required rack thrust for full turning of a tire during set-off without enhancing output of an actuator in an SBW type steering device for a vehicle. SOLUTION: A drive control part 53 of the steering device 1 for a vehicle controls a reaction force motor 23 to apply steering reaction force to a steering wheel 21 according to a steering angle speed of the steering wheel 21 when the absolute value of the steering angle of the steering wheel 21 is a predetermined value or more. Further, a turning actuator 33 generates turning power according to the steering angle of the steering wheel 21, and turning wheels 31, 31 are turned in response to the turning power.
