COMPOUND HAVING DENDRON AND MESOGEN, LIQUID CRYSTAL COMPOSITION AND PHOTO-ELEMENT

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal composition exhibiting an isotropic liquid crystal phase over a wide temperature range and a photo-element by using the same (e.g. liquid crystal-displaying element). SOLUTION: This liquid crystal composition is obtained by adding a compound obtained by linking any of dendrons having 2 to 5 order of branches with a rod like mesogen at the focal point of the dendron into a parental liquid crystal composition e.g. the parental liquid crystal composition containing achiral liquid crystal compound and a chiral agent.
