PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal and efficient information search system which preferentially provides each user with information conforming to a request of the user from a variety of and huge amount of information. SOLUTION: Normal document information input from a user (a user terminal A10) is analyzed and classified by an input document/keyword processing section A21, and then stored as user data A22. At search, a synonym with the highest degree of similarity to an input keyword is generated at a synonym data generation section A23, and a search is performed by combining the generated synonym with the input keyword using OR. Search results are compared with the user data A22 and ranked according to whether or not they are conforming to the user's interest. On the basis of the result thereof, the search results are rearranged in the order of the high priority order by a rearrangement/removal section A29, and output to and displayed on the user (user terminal) A10.
