PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging apparatus with a lens barrel capable of performing accurate camera shake stabilization operation by accurately aligning the reference line of the lens barrel with the reference line of a shake detection sensor without being influenced by vibration caused by other than camera shake. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: an imaging optical system that forms the image of a subject; an imaging device that photoelectrically converts the image formed by the imaging optical system; the lens barrel that holds the imaging optical system; a sensor that detects the shake of the imaging optical system; and a driving means that drives a member moving for camera shake stabilization, and is equipped with the lens barrel performing the camera shake stabilization by driving the driving means based on output from the sensor.
