摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a testing device for an engine capable of improving the searching accuracy of an engine operable domain. SOLUTION: When searching for the engine operable domain X in a coordinate system using a plurality of operation conditions as parameters, the first search starting point is arranged in the operable domain X (ST1), and the first boundary search is performed by arraying a plurality of search points successively in a prescribed direction by using the first search starting point as a starting point (ST2); and an operable domain A<SB>1</SB>is calculated temporarily, based on a boundary point of the operable domain X acquired by the first boundary search (ST3). Then, the second search starting point is arranged in a domain a<SB>1</SB>, having a coarse arrangement density of search points in the operable domain A<SB>1</SB>(ST5), and the second boundary search is performed by arraying a plurality of search points in a prescribed direction, by using the second search starting point as a starting point (ST6). Then, an operable domain A<SB>2</SB>is calculated, based on each boundary point of the operable domain X acquired by the first boundary search and the second boundary search (ST7).
