PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article transfer system capable of preventing or reducing the occurrence of cracks and chips of articles due to impacts of free falls when the articles are delivered between a feed trough and a pool hopper, between the pool hopper, and a scale hopper, and between the scale and an assembly chute and to provide weighing equipment provided with the same. SOLUTION: The pool hopper 3 has fixed side walls 10 and a vertically movable bottom wall 11. With the bottom wall 11 moved upward, the articles 40 are supplied from the feed trough 2 to the pool hopper 3.
