<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is configured so as not to perform operation regarding image formation when there is a problem in connection of a flexible cable and a flexible connector and enables a two-pole electrode for detection of conduction to be used also for another purpose. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a coil 38-1 in which the length of contact between spring electrodes 15-1, 15-10 with metal conductors 13-1b, 13-10b respectively are shorter than in other pairs, among a plurality of pairs of the spring electrodes 15-1 to 15-10 and the metal conductors 13-1b to 13-10b, while the flexible cable 13 and the flexible connector 15 are fitted in each other; and a micro computer 30 detecting conduction between the spring electrodes 15-1 and 15-10 and performing control so that an induction heating power source 2 does not operate when conduction is not detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
