<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk array device for achieving much higher access while securing availability as a conventional RAID system. <P>SOLUTION: This disk array device is provided with a high speed memory module 7 comprising a semiconductor memory capable of performing high speed access in addition to a plurality of array-like hard disk drives 51, 52, and 53. An RADI controller 4 generates two types of parity information for every data stored in the hard disk drives 51, 52 and 53, and distributes and successively stores the data and one of the generated parity information in any of the plurality of hard disk drives 51, 52, and 53 in a predetermined order, and stores the other generated parity information in a high speed memory module 7, and reads the parity information relating to the data from the high speed memory module 7 in reading the data from the hard disk drives 51, 52, and 53, and checks the normality of the read data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
