PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broach grinding device enabling execution of efficient and safe alignment in a position of an abrasive stone with a grinding start position of a broach, that is, so-called blade alignment, and also to provide a broach grinding method. SOLUTION: A broach measurement program is executed to bring a gauge head 30 of a broach measurement device 17 into contact with the broach, and in addition, an abrasive stone measurement program is executed to bring a gauge head 35 of an abrasive stone measurement device 32 is brought into contact with the abrasive stone 14. Thus, the grinding start position and a pitch of the broach, and the position of the abrasive stone 14 are automatically, quickly, safely and highly accurately measured and taught to an NC controller. Thus, the position alignment of the abrasive stone 14 with the grinding start position of the broach 11, so-called blade alignment, is done automatically, quickly, safely and highly accurately, based on the grinding start position of the broach and the position of the abrasive stone indicated to the NC controller.
