#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves setting a lower frame (36) at a lower part (12) of a mold (10) and an upper frame (38) at an upper part (14) of the mold. A flexible bladder (22) is set in the mold, while being accessible from an orifice (20) of the upper part. The frames are superimposed at right of a parting line of the mold to superimpose the parts for closing the mold. A space between the bladder and an inner wall of the mold is emptied to place the bladder against the frames. Resin is infused in the frames between the inner wall of the mold and an outer wall of the bladder. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for manufacturing a hollow monolithic composite piece (claimed) e.g. irregular and variable section tube or neck and hull, of a kayak. Can also be used for a boot, shell, truck box or rim of a vehicle e.g. sand yacht. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The method ensures the manufacturing of the piece having reduced weight and better resistance to constraints, with less quantity of resin and in an inexpensive manner. The method utilizes preset quantity of resin in order to avoid the drying of the frames and balance the rate of resin in the piece based on the geometry of the piece. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a partial sectional view of a mold equipped with a central opening and a bladder for forming a hollow piece, before infusion of resin. 10 : Mold 12 : Lower part 14 : Upper part 20 : Orifice 22 : Flexible bladder 36 : Lower frame 38 : Upper frame. |
