<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal which guides a user to a communication coverage where communication through a base station is available, when a radio intensity with the base station is lower than a prescribed level and a communication via the base station is unavailable, and also to provide its radio wave state confirming method. <P>SOLUTION: The mobile terminal 10 is provided with: a short-distance radio communication apparatus 19 to communicate directly (without passing through the base station 20) with surrounding other mobile terminals. When the mobile terminal 10 is in a blind zone which is insufficient of the radio intensity with the base station 20, the mobile terminal 20 communicates with other surrounding mobile terminals by the short-distance radio communication apparatus 19, and acquires a radio intensity information with each base station and a position information together. The acquired radio intensity and the position information are stored in a memory device 14 and are displayed on a display apparatus 12 together with a map information.
