<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator-freezer capable of improving refrigerating cycle efficiency by loading an ejector without decreasing volumes of cooling compartments, and improving maintenance performance. <P>SOLUTION: A refrigerant circuit in which a refrigerant is circulated, is constituted by connecting a compressor 15, a condenser, the ejector 11 and an evaporator 12 by refrigerant pipes, and the refrigerating cycle efficiency is improved by sucking action and pressurization action of the ejector 11. As the ejector 11 is received in an openable machine chamber 3, the maintenance performance can be improved without decreasing the volumes of the cooling compartments 1a-1e. Further a heat insulating material is disposed on the circumference of a pipe housed in the machine chamber 3, of a connection pipe in which sucked fluid flows and a connection pipe connected to an outlet portion of the ejector 11.
