PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil composition inhibiting the corrosion of a silver-containing material as the lubricating oil composition making a contact with the silver-containing material. SOLUTION: THis lubricating oil composition making contact with the silver-containing material is provided by containing (A) 0.01 to 0.2 mass% metal salt of a phosphorus-containing acid expressed by general formula (a) or (b) as the amount of the phosphorus and (B) 0.005 to 5 mass% metal-based cleaning agent as the amount of the metal, based on the total amount of the composition in lubricating oil base oil consisting of mineral oil-based base oil and/or synthetic base oil.
