<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable information equipment installed on a utility pole to easily set and store data relating to the address of the installed information equipment. <P>SOLUTION: A setting program is transmitted from the information equipment 101 installed on the utility pole 11 to a cellular phone 801 by short-range radio communication. The setting program causes the cellular phone 801 to execute input of a utility pole number attached to the utility pole 11 and transmission output of an address setting instruction accompanied by utility pole data based on the input utility pole number by the short-range radio communication. The information equipment 101, when receiving the address setting instruction by the short-range radio communication, transmits address data transmission request accompanied by the utility pole data accompanying the address setting instruction to an electric company server 201 (management server). The electric company server 201 retrieves address data from a utility pole number/address file where the utility pole number and the address are made to correspond to each other and stored, and replies the address data to the information equipment 101.
