<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily specify which page is displayed on which display when an electronic document comprising a plurality of pages is displayed, page by page, for a plurality of display devices where the order of priority is not previously given. <P>SOLUTION: When the user performs display operation on a display device 1, the display device 1 detects the display operation by a detecting means 15 and transmits operation indication information including its medium ID to a control unit 2 by a communication control means 12. The control unit 2 transmits the page image of a page (untransmitted and first page) corresponding to a processing object page number to the display device 1 of the transmission source of the operation indication information by a communication means 21 under the control of the control means 22 in accordance with reception of the operation indication information, and adds one to the processing object page number.
