NETWORK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND MANAGING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network management system that increases an access speed and improves effects of network management by being coupled with an Ethernet network while increasing bandwise use efficiency by decreasing the workload of management of a user apparatus on a network managing server and then enhancing functions of the network managing server, and a managing method thereof.

SOLUTION: A network management system 2 is equipped with at least one user apparatus 21 and an apparatus 22 of a network managing agent. The apparatus 22 of the network managing agent is connected to the user's apparatus 21 and transfers a manager packet MP to the user's apparatus 21 through a data link layer according to an Ethernet protocol. The manager packet MP contains one piece of string information and the string information is set according to a network managing protocol in at least one layer other than the data link layer.
