PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely and easily exchange an image between imaging devices. SOLUTION: This imaging device in an imaging system wirelessly transmitting/receiving the image between the imaging devices has: a light emitting element 24 and light receiving element 26 transmitting/receiving the image; a monitor 40 used when the imaging device receiving the image displays authentication information for authenticating the imaging device transmitting the image; a lens part 14 and an imaging element 70 imaging the authentication information displayed by the monitor of the imaging device receiving the image; an information processing part 80B processing the image transmitted to the imaging device receiving the image by use of the imaged authentication information; and a main control part 80 restoring the image transmitted from the imaging device transmitting the image to an original image.
