PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably prevent a sudden change of a control state of steering related control, when steering angle information output from a steering angle detecting means is not continued. SOLUTION: The electric power steering device comprises an electric motor 8 generating steering auxiliary force to a steering device of the vehicle; a steering auxiliary controlling means 14 controlling the electric motor 8 according to steering torque; steering angle detecting means 18, 63 detecting the steering angle of the steering device; and steering angle related controlling means 23, 70 forming steering angle related controlling information used by the steering auxiliary controlling means. Steering angle related controlling information gradually changing means 50, 80 are provided, which gradually changes the steering angle related controlling information formed by the steering angle related controlling means 23, 70 when a state change of steering angle information detected by the steering angle detecting means 18, 63.
