PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor system for a transmission ratio variable mechanism capable of detecting the absolute steering angle of a steering wheel, the absolute sub rotational angle of the transmission ratio variable mechanism, and the absolute steering angle of a turning wheel with a simple constitution from the start of a sensor system. SOLUTION: The absolute angle in the first predetermined angular range is repeatedly detected by a first absolute angle sensor 603 at each first predetermined angle of a first steering shaft 2 integrally rotated with a steering wheel 3, and the absolute angle in the second predetermined angular range is repeatedly detected by a second absolute angle sensor 703 at each second predetermined angle of a second steering shaft 4 integrally rotated with a member for turning a steering wheel 5 while the sub rotational angle is fixed. In addition, the absolute angle including the multiple rotational components of the sub rotational angle is detected by a sub rotational absolute angle detection means 9, and the absolute angle including the multiple rotational components of the first steering shaft 2 and the second steering shaft 4 is detected by three sensors from the start of a sensor system.
