PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil conditioner which does not readily flow out from soil after embedding in the soil, capable of highly neutralizing acidic soil without giving adverse effect on the environment of the surrounding organisms (grass, tree and microorganism) and keeping the neutralizing action over a long time. SOLUTION: Calcined calcium powder composed of crushed shell is mixed with an alkaline water to form a petrified material as the soil conditioner, and the obtained conditioner is used by embedding in the objective soil.
