PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a horizontal stripe-shaped pattern appears in a photographed image because a timing difference between reading an optical signal and reading a difference signal causes an error in the difference signal in the conventional manner. SOLUTION: In the solid-state imaging element which has a plurality of vertical signal lines connected to a plurality of unit pixels arranged two-dimensionally in a column direction to receive an optical signal including light information and the difference signal including a noise component from the unit pixels, and a storing part for respectively storing the optical signal and the difference signal read to the vertical signal lines to read the optical signal and the difference signal in a row unit to the storing part, at least either the read optical signal or the difference signal in one row is divided into a plurality of groups and read to the storing part at different timing in each group.
