PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner having a filter cleaning function of removing dust adhering to a filter, preventing dust from being flown from a box in detaching the box storing the dust removed from the filter from a mounting position. SOLUTION: This indoor unit 2 of the air conditioner includes: the filter 21; a brush 61; a dust box 60; and a body 10. The brush 61 removes the dust adhering to the filter 21, and the dust box 60 collects and stores the dust removed from the filter 21. The dust box 60 can be attached and detached to and from the body 10, and includes an opening part 60a allowing the dust to enter.
