PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device provided with a source electrode or a drain electrode having high conductivity to prevent oxidation of wiring material or the like by forming an oxide covering film ensuring higher contact with a semiconductor layer or a pixel electrode, and to provide a manufacturing method of the same device. SOLUTION: In a TFT electrode on a TFT substrate constituting the liquid crystal display device, the source electrode or drain electrode is characterized in forming of an oxide covering a layer that is mainly formed of copper. Moreover, the TFT electrode is also characterized in that the semiconductor layer or pixel electrode and the source electrode or drain electrode are ohmic-connected. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
