<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute enlarged or reduced printing by considering a reference position of an original desired by a user. <P>SOLUTION: When a front-end side in the conveyance direction of the original D is set to be a reference position of an original in enlarged or reduced printing, the surface of the original D is read by a front image read sensor A201 without reversing the front and rear of the original D, and image data obtained by read are enlarged or reduced with the left side of the original as a reference.
