<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to select a program that the user wants to view by a simple mouse operation in a computer for receiving and reproducing a particular program in a digital broadcasting environment in which each broadcast station provides a plurality of programs under a plurality of subchannels. <P>SOLUTION: A mouse 50 has one operating part 60, and the operating part can be operated, respectively independently in a first direction (back and forth direction) and a second direction (left and right direction) positioned so as to respectively cross each other. The user two-dimensionally operates the operating part, detects an operation of the operating part in the first direction, detects an operation in the second direction, selects a target broadcast station in accordance with the detected first direction operation, selects a target subchannel in accordance with the detected second direction operation and selects a target program in accordance with at least one of the selected target broadcast station and the selected target subchannel so that the user can select the target program that the user wants to view. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
